Owing to government emphasis on "low volume, high value" tourism, the standard tariff charged on every tourist to Bhutan is:
High season: March, April, May, September, October & November
Tariff: US $ 200 per person, per night
Low season: January, February, June, July, August & December
Tariff: US $ 165 per person per night

Smaller groups pay daily surcharges of:
US $ 40 per person (per night) for individuals travelling alone: and
US $ 30 per person (per night) for groups of two travelling together.
The tariff covers all costs of accommodation, food, transport, and guide fees.

A request for a single room supplement especially in the hotels recommended by clients themselves is also entertained at an additional cost.

Rates for Children and students:

Free for children up to 5 years of age.

50% discount Children from 6 to 12 years year old (accompanied by the elders/guardians) normal rates for 12 years and above.

Full time students below the age of 25 years with valid Identity cards from their institutes will be given 25% discount on daily tariff.

 Not included in the package tariff are:
Flight ticket costs, visa fees (US$ 20), airport tax (US$ 10), drinks, personal expenses and laundry, phone call, internet and emergency evacuation.
